Our warm duvets - all the favourites

Choosing the right warm duvet can be a daunting task and can feel overwhelming for some. It's an investment in enhancing your life, where you shouldn't compromise on quality, comfort, or well-being. We spend countless hours beneath our duvets, so it's vital to find the perfect one that suits your needs. To simplify the process, we've gathered all our favourites in one convenient location. At this time of year, our warm duvets are, of course, our recommendations, ensuring you get through the cold months without feeling chilled at night.

Tog rating of duvets

Deciding whether to invest in a light or warm duvet is a personal choice only you can make. We are all unique with different needs, so on this page, you'll find warm duvets with various tog ratings. For some, the concept of tog rating is completely new, while others have heard the term but never explored it. In short, tog rating is a measurement that describes the duvet's insulating capability or the filling's ability to retain warmth. The higher the tog rating, the warmer the duvet will be.

If you find yourself waking up hot and sweaty, it may be because your duvet's tog rating is too high for your needs - consider opting for a duvet with a lower tog rating or a temperature-regulating duvet, to help manage heat better. On the other hand, if you find yourself feeling cold at night, it might be beneficial to invest in a duvet with a high tog rating. This allows you to stay cosy without the need for heavy blankets.

The ideal winter duvets

As mentioned earlier, we all have our unique preferences and requirements. It's essential to find the perfect winter duvets that are just right for you. With winter on the horizon, we have gradually begun to welcome the cold nights, so as the temperature drops outdoors, it also becomes cooler indoors. We recommend quickly storing away your summer duvet and investing in lovely winter duvets.
Our winter duvets come with various filling types which influence the warmth of your duvet, so it's important to consider how warm you want your winter duvet to be. When purchasing winter duvets, consider whether you are prone to feeling cold at night or, conversely, too warm. At the same time, decide whether your sleeping environment is warm or cool, as these factors together determine the warmth level your winter duvet should have.
Our favourites are available in various materials, including:

Down duvets
Our down duvets offer fantastic insulation and also effectively wick away sweat and heat from your body. If you adore warm winter duvets with delightfully soft filling, our down duvets are a great choice. The down in these cosy duvets insulates superbly, preventing you from feeling cold at night while being incredibly comfortable to sleep with.

Fibre duvets
While often considered a cheaper alternative to down duvets, fibre duvets should not be underestimated. Our quality fibre duvets mimic the properties of down and feathers, providing good insulation and keeping you warm throughout the night. One of the other benefits of fibre duvets is that they can be washed countless times at high temperatures, making them especially suitable for allergy sufferers and children due to their exceptional hygiene.

Preserve the lifespan of your winter duvets

Our winter duvets are designed to last, but only if they are given the correct care and maintenance. To maintain their lifespan, we have some simple tips for you that we recommend following. When you wake up in the morning, the first thing to do is to shake your duvet. This helps to redistribute the filling in the duvet and preserves its insulating properties. Never hit your warm duvets. We suggest you avoid making the bed straight after getting up. If you do, you trap the night's moisture in your duvet, and over time, it will lose its shape. Furthermore, we recommend washing your duvet 2-4 times a year, no more and no less, to ensure a hygienic sleeping environment and to maintain the duvet's ability to insulate and provide warmth. Lastly, remember that washing and drying warm duvets can take quite a long time. It's wise to set aside the whole day for it, to ensure that your duvet is properly washed and fully dried, preventing mould from forming. It's advisable to add 3-4 tennis balls to your tumble dryer to help the duvet's filling move around evenly and prevent clumping.
