Focus on your sleep

Foam mattresses provide a calming bed experience, enveloping, adapting, and supporting your body. These mattresses can be constructed in various ways due to the many different types of foam available. The design of a foam mattress is key to creating the best mattress and optimum sleeping environment. Foam mattresses typically come with an integrated mattress topper, which means you usually don't need to worry about adding one to your bed.

It's important to use a mattress protector to help protect the mattress from moisture, such as perspiration. This ensures you always maintain a hygienic sleeping environment, as a mattress protector can be removed and machine washed along with your other bedding.

We recommend always using a mattress protector as the penultimate layer in your bed (just beneath your sheet), regardless of the mattress, mattress topper, or bed you use. It is the best for your mattress and the most hygienic option for you. Our recommendation is a mattress protector in cotton or silk, as this allows you to get the optimum use of your mattress beneath. Explore our extensive range of mattress protectors here

The various types of foam

Cold foam

Cold foam is the most common type and can have a varied composition of air and foam per cubic metre. This type of foam can therefore be firm, medium or even soft, depending on the combination of the two materials mentioned above.
Cold foam is used for standard mattresses, folding mattresses and mattress toppers. Typically, this type of foam is incorporated as one of several types in a mattress.

Memory foam

This foam type is gaining popularity in the Danish market. And that is completely understandable. Significant research has been carried out on creating a quality mattress that addresses various requirements.
Memory foam is a type of foam that conforms to your body's shape. It, therefore, provides a stable and serene base and environment for restful sleep.

Many find that the discomforts that have frustrated them for years vanish once they switch to a memory foam mattress. Especially people who suffer from muscle or joint pain find relief with this type of foam mattress. Memory foam absorbs some of your body heat and uses this heat to relieve the pressure points created by your body. You will thus feel embraced by the mattress, allowing your muscles to relax more effortlessly, often resulting in a calmer sleep.

We advise against washing the mattress cover, recommending instead the use of a mattress protector, as the mattress protector and other bed linens are washed regularly.

Latex mattresses

Mattresses with an integrated latex sleeping surface and mattress topper. Latex provides progressive comfort, meaning the mattress does not collapse like foam. You'll experience exceptional support, with the mattress adapting its firmness to your weight and body. Latex is easily zoned, with very small holes in the core regulating each zone. These holes are designed to improve breathability by allowing excess heat to be conducted away.

Latex is exceptionally elastic, offering optimal customisation to meet your needs. Latex meets diverse needs, but it is particularly beneficial for those who struggle to get out of bed, turn over, or feel excessively warm. This mattress type provides an ideal sleeping environment.

Talalay latex

Talalay is a distinctive production method used to craft the highest quality latex mattresses. It ensures the correct distribution of air and rubber material, providing the highest mattress quality. Talalay can be paired with natural latex, synthetic latex, or a blend of both.

Natural latex

As the name suggests, natural latex is entirely derived from the rubber tree. The tree grows in various tropical regions but originally comes from the Amazon. Natural latex is more flexible than regular latex or foam. Therefore, you will find that mattresses or mattress toppers made with natural latex are of exceptionally high quality and often enjoy a longer lifespan.

Synthetic latex

With the naked eye, you can't tell the difference. Latex mattresses are often combined with the type of latex that makes the most sense when paired with materials like foam or springs. Thus, you cannot claim that synthetic latex is less beneficial for the body or offers less comfort, as it provides equal advantages and the same ergonomic effects as other types of latex.
