Why choose a wool duvet?

Waking up refreshed and energised is crucial for our well-being and mental resilience. Everyday life places substantial demands on us, and having a good night's sleep allows us to tackle new challenges effectively. Quality sleep begins with a review of your bed's components - starting with the duvet. When selecting the perfect duvet, if you tend to feel chilly at night and/or wish to use sustainable and natural products, a wool duvet from "Nature By Borg" is an excellent choice. Wool breathes exceptionally well, allowing moisture to escape from your body, contributing to a tranquil and stable night's sleep.

Can wool be used in the summer?

A wool duvet can comfortably be used during the warmer months. Wool has the beneficial ability to absorb moisture from your body and then cool it as the moisture evaporates. Wool collaborates with your body to regulate temperature as needed while you sleep.

Maintenance of wool duvet

A wool duvet can be washed, but it is important to follow the washing instructions listed on the product page and the label attached to the duvet. Is it necessary to wash a wool duvet? Generally, the answer is no. Wool contains the natural fat "lanolin", which makes the duvet both antibacterial and self-cleaning. The lanolin forms a protective membrane around the wool fibres, guarding against dust, dirt and bacteria.
If washing the wool duvet becomes necessary, it can be done in the washing machine using a wool programme at a maximum of 30 degrees. It's important to use only wool detergent. Using different detergents or washing at higher temperatures will destroy the natural lanolin, and the duvet will lose its valuable properties. When drying your wool duvet, it shouldn't be tumble-dried; ideally, it should be laid flat, such as over a drying rack. You can benefit from airing your wool duvet to refresh its fibres.
