Whether packing away the summer/winter duvet or storing a guest duvet, a duvet bag is ideal. You should never store it in plastic, as it is essential for the duvet and pillow to "breathe" and have ventilation to maintain their full functionality. The storage bag is crafted from fabric with small air holes, ensuring the duvet and pillow receive airflow. The bag has practical handles for transport and a zip for quick and efficient packing. Ensure the duvet and/or pillow is COMPLETELY dry before packing it away. We always suggest washing the duvet/pillow before storing it. Washing down duvets and pillows: All down products are machine washable at 60 degrees in a standard washing machine (at least 7kg). After washing, it's crucial that the duvet or pillow is thoroughly dried in a tumble dryer with 2-3 tennis balls to aid the process. The tennis balls help release and open any clumped down during the drying process. We recommend washing your pillow 3-4 times annually, and your duvet 1-2 times annually, correlating with the switch between a summer duvet and a winter duvet. Ongoing maintenance: To ensure your duvet remains enjoyable for many years, regular maintenance is key. In the morning, allow it to release the moisture absorbed overnight. Shake your duvet while making the bed to keep it full, light, and airy. Remember to shake from different sides to distribute the filling evenly. Air both duvet and pillow as frequently as possible, always within the cover, and never in direct sunlight. Avoid vacuuming or hitting the duvet. Instead, use a soft brush.
